AL-Sense™ is a non-invasive panty liner test that allows practitioners and pregnant women to detect amniotic fluid leakage when vaginal wetness is experienced during pregnancy. AL-Sense is a double parameter test that detects pH and ammonia concentration resulting in improved reliability, sensitivity and specificity values from the standard pH nitrazine test. Unlike nitrazine paper, this technology reverses the color change back to yellow when reacting with ammonia concentrations exceeding 6mM such as urine.
